Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US as well as Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in 2016. Her mother is TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual since the age of nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first position working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami and allowed her to be a part of the production team for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Then she moved to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Covering stories related to the trafficking of drugs and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, a news reporter on English for 9 pm, then a news anchor for 10pm, before returning back to KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently called upon to be a sports or weather anchor. She then anchored and reported on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She was appointed as the sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. She served in the same capacity on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 in 1985. She has a sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. Soon after the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins was able to take a job alongside her elder sister. Still a senior at high school, but with a clear idea what she wanted to do with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. It was an amazing campus. They also offered her the degree she wanted. After completing the requirements for high school, she attended the university to study media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a student in the class, established a lasting relationship with her. Her professor urged her to be confident and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
